Robert Horna
 (born 1972 in Kolo, Poland)

He studied at the Academy of Music of Wroclaw (Poland) with prof. Piotr Zaleski and at the Conservatory of Music of Enschede (The Netherlands).

He is the prize winner of numerous awards:

       
1989 – 1st prize, National Guitar Competition in Poznan (Poland)
        1992 – 1st prize, National Guitar Competition in Koszalin (Poland)
        1994 – 2nd prize, International Guitar Competition in Krakow (Poland)
        1996 – 3th prize, E. Jurkowski Memorial International Guitar Competition in Tychy (Poland)
                   and he received a special award for the preformance of a guitar concert with orchestra
        1999 – 2nd prize, International Guitar Competition in Gdansk
(Poland)
        2000 – 1st prize, Czeslaw Drozdziewicz Memorial International Guitar Competition in Krynica 
                  
(Poland)
        2002 – 2nd prize, International Guitar Competition in Viareggio (Italy)

He performs frequently at many international guitar festivals. He is an versatile artist who apart from solo recitals gives concerts with philharmonic orchestras, and he also plays chamber music.

His repertoire consists of works from the Renaissance to present day music with special interest in pieces of Spanish and Latin American composers.

He is an author of arrangements and transcripts appreciated by both guitarist milieu and by music critics. Following this he has made recordings for the radio and TV. He collaborates with a periodical “The Guitar World”.
